I looked up, and there he was standing with a big grin on his face as if we had just won the lottery (we don’t play the lottery, maybe we should). My husband, Gary, was holding up his phone facing it toward me trying to show me something amazing. I laughed at him, thinking how ridiculous it is that he thinks I can see his phone from all the way across the room. “What?” I said with a waff of sarcasm. Approaching me he was exclaiming, “I found it, I found it!”

I guess he had been searching for weeks. But there it was another picture of, you guessed it, the sign. (This is the Final Post in this category – The ‘Beginnings Of Grace Anthems’, this is the previous post but I hope you will read the other three – start here.)

The infamous ‘Sign.’ Incredible Lord, two pictures of it on the same day.

I am starting to see the signs.

Listening to my Bluetooth of ‘my songs’ on the way home from running a few errands, I could no longer think that this Grace Anthems ‘thing’ was a trivial pursuit, as too many ‘are you getting this yets,’ were happening on this one particular day. Maybe before the foundation of the world, the Lord had designated this ‘Debbie Get’s It Day’ or something. But one more ‘get it, got it, good’ moment was the tipping point as I had to yank my car over to the side of the road and throw up my hands. Yes Lord, yes! You see, one of my childhood favorite songs from when I was growing up in the Episcopal church was blaring in my car resounding the epiphany. Even as a little girl, goosebumps would poke out all over me, raising every hair on my entire body whenever the organ’s pipes would start to blow out that melody.

You are not going to believe what the first verse (which has been ‘the’ verse that has had an impressionable piercing to the core of my being) says. Many people love this song. But I wonder, have you ever truly absorbed what the words are actually saying?

Crown Him with Many Crowns

No wait, I know, you may be presuming you know it. I did too.

Here are the words (I will highlight the memorizing parts in regards to my epiphany).

“Crown Him with many crowns
The Lamb upon the throne
Hark! How the heav’nly anthem drowns
All music but its own!
Awake, my soul, and sing
Of Him who died for thee.
And hail Him as thy matchless King
Thru all eternity.”

My soul is awake!! My whole mission in life is summed up in this one verse. The Lord is my all consuming obsession. “Be Thou, O Lord, Through endless days Adored and Magnified.” What a privilege it is to hail Him as the matchless King forever and ever!!

Did you know that there is a heavenly anthem? It is drowning out any music that is not its own music. (There is a ton of that out there, isn’t there? – But that doesn’t matter.)

The heavenly orchestra is a unique and viral sound. It is resonating with your whole being calling you heavenward all of the time. Harken to IT.

And Grace Anthems is born. Yes, Lord. This is definitely Your idea!

I deliberately put the song in here a second time because sometimes that’s the only way to make a point. Please – Listen with heavenly ears!
